“When I broke my arm in November of 2010, I went on a round robin of doctors' offices which involved complicated co-pays, paperwork shuffling, many x-rays, and referrals. When I got to the surgeon, he talked to me for just a moment, told me my arm needed surgery and then immediately sent in the surgery scheduler. I was uncomfortable with surgery and felt like I needed a second opinion, so I went to Bloomington Bone and Joint after talking with a friend who is a physical therapist (Dr. Dale Dellacqua came highly recommended by her OT colleagues). Dr. Dellacqua's nurse Audrey got me in to see him the same day I called for an appointment even though he wasn't scheduled to be in the office. He immediately put me at ease, described my situation to me in great detail, and listened to my worries about surgery. I knew after that conversation that he would be my surgeon. After surgery, the occupational therapists went to work on me right away and six weeks later, I had full mobility restored to my arm.

I cannot recommend Bloomington Bone and Joint highly enough. If I had gone straight to them after my accident, I would have saved a lot of time, money and worry. And I wouldn't have walked around with a broken arm for a week before I had it fixed up.”

“I have been privileged to refer to Reconstructive Hand Surgeons & Bloomington Bone and Joint now for the past 16 years. Both of these groups are always timely with scheduling, courteous with our staff, efficient with billing, and issues that arise with cost information. The office staff for both groups is wonderful, the surgeons are the tops in their field, and the return to work is always appropriate for the injury. The impairment is assigned appropriately always. One other bonus is that the patients I refer to the physicians in these groups always have a good experience. The bedside manor of these professionals is excellent even when the situation is difficult. The surgical outcomes exceed any other group I work with for return to work issues because as I always tell the patients I have the privilege to work with, "I mainly want you to be ready to return to your life because then you will be ready to go back to work." With BB& J and RCH you can count on a "return to your life" outcome, therefore a return to work safely & efficiently outcome. The Occupational and Physical therapy people are great, they all bring experience to the OT & PT tables. I have been honored to work with all of these folks over these years. Thank you for the opportunity to crow about those that deserve it. ”
